Healthy White Bean dip recipe

bean dip recipe
A great dip recipe that you can use for after-school snacks or hors-d-oeuvres at a party. So easy to make - simply puree the ingredients together and chill!

Ingredients

  • 15 oz. white kidney beans or cannelli, drained

  • 1 clove minced garlic

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Cayenne pepper

  • Additional oregano to taste

  • Toasted pita wedges



    Directions

  • Puree first 6 ingredients until smooth; season with salt and pepper.

  • Transfer mixture to a shallow bowl.

  • Cover and chill; may be made up to one day before serving.

  • Let stand 30 minutes at room temperature before serving. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper and additional oregano.

  • Serve with toasted pita wedges.
