Find a place for everything

Every once in a while I gather up all the clutter I can find that doesn't seem to have a home. I put it in a pile on the living room floor.

Then I sort it all out and declare a home for everything. I have a file with lots of dividers for things life appliance manuals, take away menus. receipts I need to keep.

We have a box for batteries, and invested a whole £2 in a battery tester, so we know if a battery is dead or not.

A box for charges, remote controls etc.

I usually end up giving away at least half of it!
