Growing up in a household always a bit strapped for cash and with four boys, we were always coming up with ways to reuse things.

And out in South Africa on a farm we were always (and still are) making fires and having Braais (Barbeques) outside.

So one day instead buying a new Braai, my one brother came up with the idea of turning the inside of a old Tumble Dryer into a Fireplace/Braai.

It was the perfect thing to use, the right size, with holes all around the side that would bring fresh air into the fire to keep it going! All he had to do was make a stand and a grill for it.

And it worked so well!!! It has also lasted us for ages now.

Recently he made another one so that the two houses on the farm could each have one. He had to drill holes into the side of it though as there weren't holes in it already.

He still hasn't made a stand for this one yet though... Getting lazy in his old age, haha, he's 27!
