Plastic Grated Romano Cheese Containers

by Marlene
(Pennsylvania)

The grated cheese containers typically have a flip top lid with holes for sprinkling on one side and a larger hole for spooning on the other side of the lid.

I reuse them as canisters for everything from raisins, nuts, dried herbs, sugar, candies, and small pasta in the kitchen to buttons in the laundry room.

I also store my baking soda in one so it is convenient to sprinkle it for use while cleaning or spoon it for recipes.

I have even recently begun to paint the name of its contents on the outside to make them a little prettier.

Editor's Note
What great ideas, Marlene! Another way to decorate them would be to print graphics from your computer and paste or decoupage them on.
