My husband and I every so often do a batch of vegetables and potatoes. The pots are mashed and made also for roasts and frozen. The veg are blanched in the same water. Even the heads of carrots and parsnips, brussel leaves, the rest of leeks which are discarded are used and are wizzed up and used for gravy I must have about 12 two section plastic boxes of gravy water. We do not waste a thing in our house.
