Great points all! I find that the reality of "out of sight out of mind" kicks in with any attempt at changed behavior. We had to develop the budget (with the family to get involvement and thus ownership of this FAMILY budget) then print it out and review it daily. A new behavior takes 12 repetitions before it becomes a habit. Build it, review it, tweak it!
